Jemrack - A Unique Invention
Jemrack was invented in 1996 by Wisconsin native, Joe S. Rockett. Joe worked in the HVAC industry since 1985, and created the Jemrack Swing-Out Rack while working in Salt Lake City as a HVAC technician. The company Joe was working for had recently purchased a new van for his work use. And, since the outfitting of the new van was at Joe's discretion, he decided he wanted some shelving or cabinetry where he could store large tools and heavy objects - without having to climb in and out on his knees, or lifting with his back in a bent position. |
Joe called some dealers of van equipment, and found such shelving or cabinetry wasn't available. So, he designed and built what he was looking for. It evolved from a piece of plywood and aluminum with bins. Finally, he perfected it and many people wanted one - people understood how it could cut down on injuries. The reaction of his co-workers and other tradesman led him to pursue the patent process.
In 1998, Joe Rockett decided to take Jemrack to the marketplace, and the midwest provided him the best advantage to do just that. Since then, Joe has been building and selling Jemrack products to other tradesman. With customer requests, and a little common sense, accessories and other rack systems continue to be introduced to the product line. |
